May Birthday's

Showing off his two books from Dad.

Can you believe it - 7 years old now.

Madelyn waiting patiently on the cake and ice cream and MeMaw with her camera.

This was from Maddie's school pics. Such a sweetheart!

Madelyn turned five this month and William turned seven. Our time together keeps getting better and better. They are my heart.

Great Neices are Great

I had the wonderful pleasure of babysitting Tori and Nathan's two girls last evening. Lilly (4) and Ava (2). We had loads of fun giggling, reading books, telling stories and sharing songs. Our biggest fun was to take pictures with my handy dandy camera and play back the videos. Hopefully these will come through and you will join us in our fun. A little blurry - Lily and Ava's Grammy knows how challenging it is to wrestly with a 4 and 2 year old when everyone wants to show off their toes - love them toes! More pics to come.

Here's the girls getting ready to put on their performances - it is a shorty as Aunt Dottie didn't have a tight hold on the camera and well.....didn't hold the camera button down long enough.

Let's see if i can get one more video in here - the girls were so much fun and my oh my want little entertainers. Tori and Nate - thank you so much for asking me to come over.

First Pick from the Garden

Mad explaining her "Martha Soup" to William. She knew as long as she was talking and stirring the "soup" - she was controlling the situation. William is so patient with his little sister - he'd look up every now and then and wink at me as tho to say "we know it's not really soup but it is fun." He loves his little sister.

My little garden angel. Maddie loves to water the plants, loves to water the dirt, loves to water her brother and even loves to water her MeMaw. She is large and in charge when she has a water hose in hand!

The children got the pleasure of picking the first riped tomatoes from our little garden. These are the first three tomatoes that Maddie picked and William picked several more after this picture was taken. Too bad they don't pick weeds as readily as they pick tomatoes....now MeMaw!!!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Larry Michael with his "million dollar smile" as Daddy would say.
And precious baby girl Jeannie Gail.

At the State Park - Larry Michael 4 and Jeannie Gail 6.

Daddy, Larry Michael and Jeannie Gail enjoying the river.

Should any of you have any other pictures of the Adkins clan - please send them to me and I'll post on the blog. Memories...brings us back to where we began and a smile or two of where we are now. Daddy would be proud!

Larry's kids at Aunt Gert's and Uncle Basil

I'm not sure when this was taken, but does it ever bring back memories of being at Aunt Gert's and Uncle Basil and playing in the barn and riding on the tractor.

Mother as a Teenager

Our Mother, the Jersey girl movie star. If you have any other pictures of Mother you would like to share on this blog, please send them to me. Mother, you are beautiful and we love you.

Long Ago Family Reunion

Mother and her boys, Tom, Ken and Larry.

Dottie, Jeannie, Tom, Ken, Mother, Bev and Larry Michael.

Thank you Larry Michael for sending me this picture. This was taken in my back yard many many years ago. Can anyone tell me what year it was?

Happy Moments

Papa with William and Madelyn at the Ravine. We love going there to run, play, throw frisbee, kick the ball, sit and rest or take pictures. William is showing off his Sponge Bob watch and Madelyn is just being Madelyn the fun girl.

A Good Day

It's always a good day when Papa and the kids ride their bikes to the Ravine.

Staying Focused

This was taken at Maya's birthday party. I'll have to ask him what was he thinking or was he just seeing how close he could get to the bubble...
