Practice Makes Perfect

Madelyn is practicing for her audition to PK Yonge and PK Yonge Band for next year.  You are a fantastic trombone player my Maddy girl - I love you!

I believe this is take #6 - so when you hear "Go" - we were timing her audition as she will have 3 minutes.  Yes, strict MeMaw with love for my trombone playing little girl!

William and Madelyn Playing at the Historic Thomas Center

The Expressions 5th grade "Dragon Band" played at Downtown Historic Thomas Center and our very own Madelyn and Madelyn played.  Ms. Johanna, 5th grade music instructor asked my William and Bonnie who both graduated from Expressions two years ago to help out with trumpets.  They had a blast and we are so proud!

2016 Already!

Where has time gone.  It is already 2016.  I've been keeping a journal to reflect back on - there are times I forget to write for weeks or even months.  It is my measuring stick of how things are going from the day to day adventures.


One area that remains the same is my love for my grandchildren.  Here are a few pictures of William and Madelyn.  William wanted a cap for Christmas and I had ordered two different ones.  The first one came the day before Christmas and he was sooooo excited to receive this Christmas morning.  The second cap came in Monday's mail on January 4th.  Too much fun for sure!
