William is now in Cub Scouts

William is now in Cub Scouts. He is very proud this his hemlut that he and his Nanny extrodinaire Sarah made "William has told me at least 5 times that the football helmut came from GoodWill for only two bucks (just hearing him refer to two dollars as two bucks kills me)....but he won first prize which was a very cool grown up big boy key chain.

We shared the pictures with Gina's husband (Gina and I work together here at UF) and Gina's husband works at NASA. Note the Nasa on the front of the helmut - it is made out of press board and as you can see - duct tape, pillow case inside to tape over and alumni foil with the helmut having it's very own transmittor. Sarah and William - you two ROCK BIG TIME!

Yeah William won first prize - I love you my Mr. Rocket Man.

Pictures of the rocket will come later. His Mom says they got to launch two of the three engines on the rocket William and Dad constructed and painted in the driveway - each saying they really do have a heart as their hands looked like the Tin Man on Wizard of Oz......moments to memory bank and will last forever more!

First Prize for Helmut - Boy Scouts

William is now in the Cub Scouts - they had Rocket Day last Saturday, plus their helmut was judged for most creative - but of course our William and his infamous nanny was most creative and William came away a very proud first prize winner from Cub Scouts. More to come on the rocket launch - Mom has pictures and Dad and William had a wonderful time constructing and spray painting his rocket.

More Madelyn

To bring this up-to-date...Here's our little whiz kid playing Plants vs Zombies on the computer or perhaps it was BeJeweled - two of her favovite. Madelyn is such a sweetheart - still loves to cuddle on MeMaw's lap and tells me she wants to live with me. One day my little darlin - we will have this ole house and when MeMaw goes to live above the clouds - you and William will have your very own rooms.

So far, looks like I am not getting rid of much of the stuff in it - so do what you want with it - makes for great treasure hunt adventures as of now. MeMaw loves surprises and trying to find something and finding it is always such a neat surprise...Good Grief - do I need a Therapist or a dump truck?
